Election 2024 – ‘Why Overseas Development Matters’: Dóchas General Election Manifesto urges support for continued ODA investment

In the lead up to Ireland’s General Elections on 29th November, Dóchas, the Irish Network for International Development and Humanitarian Organisations, has published a set of resources showing the support for overseas development aid (ODA) by the Irish public, county-by-county.

Research commissioned by Dóchas earlier this year shows that fully 76% of the Irish public supports the Irish Government giving ODA to developing countries. As a member organisation of Dóchas, Misean Cara encourages supporters to promote the importance of reinforcing this message with those standing for election.
