In 2025, healthcare, education, climate-resilient livelihoods, human rights programmes and emergency relief was delivered to vulnerable communities, as international aid agencies grappled with the sharpest annual fall in global development assistance on record.
Despite the pressures, Irish development organisation Misean Cara’s latest annual report shows that last year, 51 Irish missionary organisations reached almost 1.13 million people through 344 projects in 40 countries with €13.5 million in funding, the majority provided by Irish aid.
