Supporting our Members

Misean Cara is proud to support the development and humanitarian work of our members throughout the Global South. This support is about much more than providing funding to the many projects that our members implement each year. It’s also about accompanying members as they plan and implement projects to transform lives, by providing capacity development and learning support to ensure that members deliver successful interventions for those who need it most across the developing world. 

In 2024, we provided member capacity development funding of more than €268,000 to 18 members with projects in 14 countries. Each year, this funding supports development in key areas such as:

Member Capacity Strengthening was introduced to train Misean Cara members in preparing project funding proposals. Today, it offers funding to strengthen all elements of their strategic, operational and governance capabilities.

Misean Cara strengthens members’ systems and processes with training and funding in governance, financial accountability, human resource management, plus strategic and project planning. This enhances their ability to help vulnerable people transform their lives, overcome poverty, exclusion, and other forms of marginalisation.
