In this case study video produced by Knowledge Transfer Ireland, hear Misean Cara’s Learning & Development Manager, Seamus Collins, discuss a recent research collaboration between Misean Cara and RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons Ireland). The research was launched in 2022 to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the delivery of health services in a number of locations in East Africa.
The evidence generated through the research is intended to help Misean Cara and other development and health organisations better prepare for upcoming pandemics, by setting out ways to:
– Better support partnerships between NGOs and governments during pandemics
– Develop trust that is essential in times of crisis by leveraging long-term community engagement
Thank you to Knowledge Transfer Ireland for inviting Misean Cara to be a part of this case study video.
