On Friday, 30th September, Misean Cara’s Education Project Officer, Orla Duke, presented at ‘Recovering from the impact of COVID-19 and investing in girls’ education – A Global and Ugandan perspective’ an event in Iveagh House, Dublin organised by Irish Aid and the Irish Forum for Global Education.
Representatives from the Ministry of Education in Uganda attended, along with 12 of Uganda’s top educators who will attend a week of peer learning while in Ireland, with support from the Embassy of Ireland in Uganda.
Orla’s presentation focused on the work of Misean Cara members to uphold the right to education, particularly for girls and young women and other vulnerable groups.
