Philippines
(Income Generation)
Ecology education including hands on practical demonstrations with
handouts and take home plants, modules on permaculture, zero waste,
herbal plants for medicinal and culinary use, bio-diversity,
composting, vermiculture, grey-water management, bio-septic and
waterless toilets and bio-purification of water.
Grameen bank enabling organised poor village groups, primarily
women, access to loans for livelihoods projects to improve
wellbeing. For example, getting the children to school or changing a
house from bamboo to cement blocks.
Livelihood programme involving over 120 people in which groups were
trained in industrial sewing machine operation, culinary arts, soap
making, micro-finance and cell phone repair.
